WOW everyone's here, and some of you are pre-me...

Let me make you feel young!

Many of us old cronies date back to about 2003 or 2004 on TOBB. Which makes Crystal, what? 26?

Lou,

What is your job? Nobody is paying me to move to France. Though honestly, I'd prefer Italy ...

I work for a vaccines company out here in Nantes, on the west coast. This said, it feels like I'm spending half my time in airplanes - that much hasn't changed. Funny they pay me to, really, sit on my ass most the time.

A myth about the French is that they work short days. Total crock, unless you work for the gov't.

You do get the French vacations though? No one gives up their vacations.

PS Live in Italy???? Love to visit but I am not too sure I would want to deal with the bureaucracy. Berlusconi makes American political scandals looks pretty vanilla though. Personally I like living in boring, predictable Switzerland where you have to make your own excitement. Quietly though. :roll:

@Marygott

We get the vacations, but the French have this weird policy which, if I weren't so drunk at the moment, would go into.

However, we don't get as many days as one would think.

Seriously? I thought it was starting at 6 weeks (we start at 4 or 5). I also live in a Catholic canton so all holy days of obligation are public holidays. And I don't even have a job!

With all these folks in Europe, it's time for a field trip! Get out your stout shoes and walking sticks (parasols for the ladies) and we can do the Grand Tour.

I'm there. Say when. (Our shoulder seasons are best for me.)
