I must not have been paying attention. When did paragraphs begin appearing in those lengthy posts? I thought that run-on sentences and single paragraph rants were the norm.

It must have evolved after discovery of that back space button!

And mispellings, syntax and grammatical errors - but when I copied and pasted, her quotes didn't appear in a quote box as they do on the OB, so to differentiate between her comments and mine, I called them paragraphs.

Alina is scary smart. I'm a business analyst and supposed to understand all the techno stuff....but I don't really. shhh.
Have to tell you guys that the whole figjam thing has made me giggle every once in a while all week.

This board is currently limited to 60,000 characters per post. That's a setting, though; I can change it if there's a reason to.

Ya know folks- the internets invite snark and other such behaviors. I have been known to post about the huge parties or complex menus I'm making, and if I had the kitchen of my dreams I would be sure to post the photo of it clean, not the one where the counters are equally full of crap and cat hairs.
I for one, am totally done with listening to you guys mock someone who is still posting over at CI, which many of you have forsaken. I would hate to discover that there was a conversation somewhere about how full of shit I must be, because of my online comments. I can easily see having a phone app for a shopping list and having a book of stuff for party planning-one lets you get through the store, one gives you a record to check in the future.
It's very easy to make fun of people you meet only one tiny slice of. As a person of modest social eptitude I've had my share of uncomfortable/unhappy encounters both online and in person and wouldn't wish that on just about anyone.
Feel as superior as you want to or feel entitled to. Just stop asking me to join in.

Sorry, Becky. I think we all have something that we see as ruining TOBB, and it's easy to get meanspirited about losing something that used to mean a lot to all of us. Personally, I feel that losing Crystal was the worst thing. She could always remind us through her own exemplary behavior to play nice, even with newbies, trolls, and members who just plain annoyed the crap out of us. She'd even defend BCP when that was the sore spot. Anyway, you're right, talking behind someone's back isn't nice.

I don't hate anyone. And I'll take responsibility for the turn of this thread. Bear in mind, I didn't name anyone. I used an anacronym, and yet, nearly everyone on this board who had been on the OB knew of whom I spoke.

I am frustrated. When I joined, the OB was fun and informative. I learned a lot. But now.... well, the parochial school girl angel on one shoulder says that I should be forgiving and tolerant; the angel on the other shoulder is turning me into the Notorious K.A.E. Would it be better to call her out? Better to point out the many lies, inconsistencies, incongruities, oneupsmanship, and just out and out bullshit?

There are so many talented, intelligent people on this board, and on the OB, but so many left the other board, and I suspect it was over - and yes, I'm going to say it - Figjam.

I've been in your kitchen, Becky, and it looks as though you cook; it looks like you. There was nothing in those photographs that appeared to me to be anything more than a model kitchen. If I posted pics, I wouldn't want it to look messy, or unclean, but what I saw was sterile. Nobody home.

Do you recall the threads about the barramundi, Anthony Boudain, people who don't cook, Sandra Lee bashing, and of

course, the phone app thread? My take on it was that she posed the question merely to condescend to the rest of us, and 'oneups on the app' for the Droid. If it had been you, or anyone else here, wouldn't you have said, 'I think I found one better or one you might like?' Why engage someone to slap them down? I have stopped myself, I can't tell you how many times, from telling her, 'high school is over. Grow up.' But she always has to be the Prom Queen/Winter Carnival Princess.

I would never ask you to 'join in.' My rant, and I suspect everyone else who has posted, is born of frustration and feeling insulted, not to mention, annoyed.

In a way, I do pity her. I have caught her too many times to believe much of of what she says. So, I got it off of my chest. And I really do mean that I am sorry if I offended you.
