We had margaritas yesterday too, plus a bunch of snacks. Today I am in a margarita free zone. Ouch.

I love gjeltost. There's only one place in town that has it as far as I know and whenever I'm in that area, I stop and pick some up. It's divine! fitzie

Mary,
I shudder to think of what tequila must cost in Switzerland ...

I probably paid about 20 or 25 bucks for a bottle of nothing special. How much is it there? Limes are about 90 cents each though...

We just finished Peruvian Roast Chicken from Mar/Apr. 2011. I did it on a gas grill beer can style with OJ in the can and one foil package of hickory chips for light smoky flavor. The recipe is excellent in the oven, but borders on awesome when done on grill. It is easily my current favorite chicken recipe. Don’t skimp on the mint if you have it in the garden. The recipe can easily stand a bit more than the ¼ cup it calls for. Peruvian Roast Chicken with Garlic and LimeA Latin Celebration on ATKThe Spicy Mayonnaise recipe that accompanies is good, but not absolutely necessary to the success of the recipe. I did not make it today and did not really miss it all that much.

Mary Well, a fifth of nothing special is about half that. On the other hand, I hear you can find 51 proof rum in Europe. I had to get 151 and Bacardi Gold and mix up my own Rumtopf pickling liquid.

Chris picked up a litre of Jose Cuervo Especial Gold at duty free for $16 a bottle, I got 1 for the each of the kid's teachers for an end of year gift along with a bottle of Kirkland Margarita mix, which looks really good. A 750 ml bottle of same tequila in Ontario is $34. Limes are 4 for a buck in my local no frills store, although they are smallish.

I will have to do some investigating next time I go shopping. I would bathe in fresh lime juice if I could get them for 4/$1.00.

I've been getting Mexican key limes, $3 for a 2-lbs bag. They're very cute, and very potent.
