When I was in college in Duluth, kids used to drive over there to get Point beer. It does not have a wide distribution, so it was very ooohh la la.
This probably does not help you much. But, any good beer making town probably has some good brats or that kind of food.

Frank, The "delights" in Stevens Point are limited to beer, as in nice mirobreweries and Point, the 5th oldest brewery in the US. The food scene is "limited". You should read the LTH Forum review by a local. After linking, scroll to the top of the page. http://lthforum.com/bb/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=29694&p=342173&hilit=stevens+point#p342173Most of it looks pretty pedestrian but there is some potential and your hotelier should have some advice. Christains, Hilltop, Silver Coach, Cafe 27 and Bernards are possibles. Good luck, Tim

I agree with Tim, and hereby start a movement to rival aforementioned biscuit threads, Frank, you are hereby required to report back on these sinkhole towns given the time & expertise we've provided - NO MORE FREELOADIN' (Rarely will you find a sentence using "hereby" twice!)

Reporting in... Very good tour of the brewery, only me and my sidekick. Food...Had a very good burger in a bar that I cannot remember the name of (no...I wasn't) Dinner at the Water Steet Grille was just "OK" I had the Wis. Chicken breast (four cheeses & broccoli) Al, had the fajitas...mistake...looked more like stir fry to me, he said it was bland. I went by a cheese factory and brought home several very good cheeses and some curds. Home this week, Memphis, TN / Bayhalia, MS. Next week, I'll give your regards to the king...
