But his morning: herbed scrambled eggs served atop spit gougeres from Tartine bakery. mmmmmmmmmmm. Josh, There's a really good recipe for stir fried scrambled eggs with tomatoes and (shut your ears Lou) cilantro in Stir Frying to the Sky's Edge. I make them on weekends frequently, and I think they've quickly become one of Andy's favorites. Amy

The difference may be in btu's. I can get fairly decent heat on my burners, although I am going to build that outdoor thingy this summer. Amy

Last night--the new, ultimate last word in fried chicken, from CI. Pretty good, well seasoned(marinated about 4 hours), less mess; cons--missed the double bound breading--the skin was all slipping and sliding. Rod was happy, so it's all good.

Hey Crystal,
I was thinking about buying Slow and Easy. How much of it is slow-cooker recipes?
Cary is way more patient with hanging out and watching Mom cook in the mornings than he is in the evenings, so I've begun to do slow-cooker meals 2-3 times per week. I'm getting a bit tired of the same recipes over and over.
Which reminds me - Last night we had Slow-Cooker Lentil and Swiss Chard Stew from BMA. This one's a keeper. And now I'm no longer off-topic.

Jes, There are several; definitely a few new(to me). I'll take a good look tonight, and start a thread. On topic: no earthly clue what I am making tonight.

Join the club, Crystal. With all the snow we've had I've been putting off driving to the store. We're practically down to flour & tap water fitzie

Ham & bean soup here. Started it yesterday. Cooked it for hours & the beans are still crunchy. They must be really old. Too bad, crunchy is OK.
Tomorrow will be our vday dinner here with friends. Apps are olives, escargo, duck procuitto with bread sticks & I forget what the fourth thing is. Cippino, salad & pie. The salad & pie are coming with guests.
Wish there was a spell ck here. I can't spell for s**t.
