Published in 2016, this may not appeal to everyone but I want you to consider considering it. My first glance was wrong, I assumed it was a list with pretty photos. Further reading revealed the author to be a genuine bright light. With glowing reviews from Garten, Ottolenghi, Greenspan, Ripert, etc. his adventures from kibbutz to NYCity is charming and illustrate that dreams can come true. My initial hesitation arose from the lack of traditional recipes. Suggestions are offered but not specific instructions as I am used to. However, he has a very good web site for his shop in NYC, La Boite, and it contains many recipes, especially some for one his favorite preparations - COOKIES! https://www.laboiteny.com/

What information does it have about the spices themselves? History, origin, recommendations on purchase, what?
