Made this tonight. I really liked the method (browning, then cooking slow and low), but I thought the spices were way overdone. Too much pepper. Will try again with a different mix. We look forward to sandwiches from the leftovers.
I used some local small farmed beef, a sirloin tip roast. It astounds me how much better this "happy" beef is. I've switched totally to it (but that's another thread).
I found the recipe on CI recipe index, but it said it was a CC recipe.
