Hi,

I just sent an email to Patty, Ken, Dan and Kurt. Let's hope they find us.

I also spotted this gem from New Orleans. This is my best portrait ever...and the two of us have been happy ever since!

I feel it only fair to relate the "entire" story....

As we were cooking one of New Orleans "finest" came nosing around the kitchen...after tasting some bearnaise sauce that I had prepared he gagged and demanded to know "WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS" I quickly pointed to Tim and the "scuffle" ensued....Tim was tazed, pepper sprayed, (we all wondered if it was freshly ground) pistol whipped, and cuffed.

Rhonda, being a "local" and knowing how things work in New Orleans quickly threw together a 12" Po-Boy sammich and all was forgiven.

Tim was so distraught that he spent the rest of the day drinking heavily and he & I headed for Bourbon Street later that evening.

I lost Tim for about 45 minutes or so & when I found him he was nearly unrecognizable due to the massive amounts of beads that he was covered with!!

Lord only knows WHAT he did to earn them...unfortunatly...he was unable to recall himself...ahhh...the mysteries of New Orleans...

Tim,

I also sent a note to Kurt earlier today. Let's hope between the two of us we're successful!

Love, love, love all this. Its nice to have a home again. :D :D This is why I joined TOBB.
Hoping it's ok that I'll still be more a lurker with an occasional post. Cooking mojo is on its way back but certainly not up to this standard. I'm so blown away by you all and just hope to absorb as much as possible...keep on keeping on :P

Tim,

You might have noticed that I left the board back in early 2008. That was in reaction to a couple of different "issues" with BCP. The one I can talk about is that they cancelled my website subscription without notice or a refund.

I'd always said that I could put up a new board which would be better technology than TOBB in about half an hour. So, when Todd got fed up with it, he e-mailed me and I did so (in December 2008).

I was wrong ... it took me almost 90 minutes to get this board up. It's actually been fairly quiet here until around 2 months ago.

I really like what is happening here...feels like trip back to your grannys (Grandmother for you non Southern folk) table. So many old friends showing up...very, very, nice!

Today is my one year anniversary of not posting on TOBB...heres to many more! :D It's nice to be home...

Frank - we say 'granny' here too ...though in my family the term of choice is grandma or gramma :geek:

I'm a "Nana" as was my grandmother. My sister's a Nana, too. Her grandchildren call me Aunt Nana.
