Thanks Lisa, I will try this. I have some oil in my deep fat fryer now that could benefit. I hate starting new oil because the first batch never tastes right.

I have a gallon Mason jar filled with used peanut oil (well strained) in the fridge.
I can't wait to try this method next time I use the oil.

I did this. It is certainly a very easy way to clarify oil.
