Kathy, If you're not already using it, try Firefox as your browser. There's a button for spell check. Saves my sorry ass every once in a while... Amy

Chrome has a spell-check, too.

Firefox has spell check too. I am the world's worst speller so am very thankful for that.
Made my last meal for a while, risotto with saffron, chicken and bacon with a side of broccoli (house special). We are leaving tomorrow for a week so the cupboard is officially bare. I will keep my eyes open for any Austrian delicacies that may be of interest.

Thanks, I can't wait. We used to go to this place when the kids were small (it is called Serfaus) but haven't been in about 5 years. It is a very cute town with the added attraction of having the world's highest subway (it runs between the parking lot and the ski lift with about 4 stops). I will walk though because that Austrian food is very rich. My husband is already planning his first kaiserschmarrn. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KaiserschmarrnMary

Mary,
If you want to be a hero to your husband, buy a copy of Kaffeehaus by Rick Rodgers. It has an amazing collection of recipes from the cafes of Vienna, Budapest and Prague, and it includes a recipe for kaiserschmarrn.
Amy
P.S. if you want a copy of the recipe, I can PM it to you.
