Well, I am home again and just looked through Pete's photos. Great job. The trip was fantastic but the best part was meeting Kathy and Pete. They are so nice and we all got on so well together. I also loved the cooking class. AND I am now the proud owner of a mandolin. The man said it was "zee best one in zee 'ole world and eet iss French". I need to go but some big thing to make small.

We did have a great time with Mary & the cooking school (did I mention that we went to cooking school in Paris? ) was so much fun & informative.

Marie,

So: potato crust for broiled salmon. Matchstick vegetables in broth as a base for baked fish, pork, or chicken. Matchstick raw zucchini salad. Cucumber sandwiches for high tea.

It also cubes so we can add to that tiny cubes of veggies in the soup. Thin is in. Just ask Kate Moss (even though she is not French).

Hi, Nancy:
We ended up going to the alternate "La Gazzetta" Saturday night for dinner. I was feeling a bit under the weather (something Kathy had over last weekend) so I only about 80% enjoyed the dinner. I didn't have my camera but I should get the photos from my niece's Blackberry soon.

Hope you feeling better Pete and looking forward to seeing your photos. I can't believe we would have been leaving tomorrow. Wow - time sure does fly when you on vacation! ;)

More photos posted, not so many about food. Went through the Catacombs today - a bit more intimate than I was expecting. You're literally rubbing elbows (or were they knees?) with millions of dead Frenchmen.
