Looks like I'll be headed to the store for a refund.

Anyone else got an affected bag?

And there is even more:

Fortunately, I haven't had any of it, but in early May there was a recall for Aldi's Baker's Choice, in this area, which I didn't have, because all they sell is bleached, but I still googled "flour recalls". I was astonished at all of the flour recalls there had been! Most are more localized, which is why many of us don't see them, but reading up on it explained that the reason for the contamination is thought to be from either previous cows or wild animals in the fields, and the motorized harvest pulls the dirt onto some of the wheat. And years ago I recall a warning about some organic flour, which was fertilized with improperly composted manure, not getting hot enough to kill the E. coli! Not sure how the salmonella got in there - that was in Gold Medal, but some of those more local ones.

It made me think twice about eating CC cookie dough, or brownie batter!

Dave,

Yeah, the risky part of cookie dough is supposed to be the eggs, but seems like it's more the flour.
