I am heading to a fund raiser at a local upscale Mexican restaurant...interesting menu and drink pairings. I won't make it through the Tequilla, but cannot wait to try the food.

Well, it was delicious with the shrimp and the seabass being the highlights. (sorry I didn't take photos). The shrimp stuffed and then wrapped in bacon had a tomatillo salsa sauce that was a great counterpoint to the salty sweetness of the shrimp and bacon. The seabass had a beautiful crust on it and when you broke through, it was perfectly cooked. They blew it on the asparagus....maybe too long under a heat lamp....limp and mushy.
Way too much tequila on the table, but my favorite was a tequila dirty martini....tequila, olive juice, olive and jalepano; I will have to try to concoct that one.
They did a nice job, considering the ticket price was only $49.
