Hey, best wishes, Frank, for a quick response from the judge. I'm sure you and DW are on pins and needles with anticipation of it all. These girls are such lucky kids to be getting great parents and you two are so lucky to be able to take them - great deal all around.

Can't wait to see photos.... :)

I fourth the idea of layers, gotta have 'em. Think 3 thin layers as basic and add more from there. Brrrr, those girls will think it's summer when they get to Texas!

Layers...will do...still gonna freeze...

We gotta get them kids home soon...me & DW are showing signs of insanity...walk by the room and tell the girls to quit giggling & go to sleep. Been known to just stand in the doorway & look & imagine...we think that "we" are the lucky (blessed) ones in this deal...

We are just beside ourselves...this is nearly a 4 year process...for those who don't know, they are sisters...ages 5 & 6.

I am keeping all my fingers crossed for you Frank. My friends who adopted from Russia also went through at least 3 years of applying, reapplying, waiting. The last phase went very quickly though (within a month of being told they had a child for them he was in his new home). I hope this hold true for you. Get one of those funny fur hats with the ear flaps, I am sure it is even colder when you are walking a foot off the ground. And no more talk about your parts, although I am sure they are an adequate size, as it makes me come over all funny.

One thing that might surprise you all...As required my the Russian Region...Melinda and I both had to have a psychological / parenting assessment exam...A FIVE HOUR psych exam!!!

All the shrink could come up with was "I need to brush up on my first aid skills."

Go figger...

5 hours??? That is enough to drive anyone mad.

There was an article in our paper today that there is as new law requiring all people who want to have a dog to go to a course (new dog owners have to go to 2 a 4 hour theory course and then a practical ones, people who have had a dog only need to go to the practical). My remark was, "and here we went and had 2 kids and didn't have to do a thing".

Again, all fingers crossed.

Oh, I'm sure you did something -- grew cabbages, or left out stork bait, or something.
