All,

The survey as promised: https://forms.gle/D7KqrRKk1F5YabXc9

I'm first looking to find out how many people still plan to come; after that, what you want to do while you're here.

Please fill it out when you have a chance. Like it says in the description, pretend for purposes of the survey that COVID19 won't be a problem. Thanks!

Current status of Cookaholics/Culinary get-together:

8 people have answered the survey. Four of them are Yeses, a couple with spouse, for a total of 8 people participating including me & Kris. We also have three "it depends" responses.

This means the get-together in Portland can go ahead, pending COVID19. Yay?

My plan from here is to wait until late April or early May to see how things are shaping up in terms of the pandemic. If the US seems to be getting it under control, then I will start booking places & asking attendees to make a deposit. If we're all in lockdown, I'll wait. If the country is still epidemicked by June, we'll postpone the meetup.

Other results of the survey:

- The schedule will have activities on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, but not Monday.
- We might have a full-day tour on Friday, and if so it would be the wine country or a Lost Plate tour.
- We are unlikely to do a professional cooking class (folks were lukewarm to this), but if we do it'll be cheesemaking.
- We might do a single non-foodie activity that is convenient to one of our food activities, if there is one.

Most popular activity choices are: Collab cooking in a rental kitchen, visit food carts, PSU farmer's market, cheap but iconic restaurant, BBQ at my place, Saturday Market & Spirits Fest, Powell's, and bakery.

Of course, the survey is still open if anyone else is planning to come provided that any of us can travel come August.
