OK...perhaps overstated, but what does a non drinking person know about beer? The point is...non light beer, the other 5 bottles can be used in the CI beer bread recipe.

Lindsay...I fear the dreary weather is getting to you dear...perhaps a tropical vacation is in order?? Complete with a cabana boy??

About as much as a Michiganian knows about chili. ; ) But, are we not here to enlighten each other, grasshopper?

Drum roll please!

Okay, I made Frank's chili, and because I had such confidence in the recipe (because I have confidence in the author) I made it for a party for 30 people.

Made the chili last Thursday and served it last night. It was an ideal amount of time for the flavors to meld, and OMG, the results were outstanding. About three people came to me and said, "I normally don't even like chili, but I loved yours!"

Of course I told them it was MY recipe...jk...I told them it was from a friend in Texas who knew a few things about chili!

You guys should definitely try it!

Amy

It's definitely on my To Do list. Gotta wait 'til summer, though. I might have the fortitiude to grill in winter, but my tiny Hibachi doesn't.

Hi,

There was a shocking first time post, completely out of context, on the OB. The author has been challenged.

chili IS beans - with meat it's "con carne". All meat it's goulash

Who is this masked man? Maybe this is proof that 2009 was not the best year.

I see no reason to enlighten the clueless. Unless someone has a burning desire to twiddle the keyboard, today my time is best spent getting the caps off, the corks out, and bringing out some more butter. HAPPY NEW YEAR, I THINK 2010 IS GOING TO BE STELLAR!!

I ain't takin the bait on this one...why burst the unenlightened status with knowledge?

IMHO that poster is on the board he deserves to be on...I enjoy "The Ship of Fools" I currently sail with.

Bon Voyage!
