Tim, if she can't find them, let me know. I'll brown paper package them to you so the neighbours don't suspect. On a wholly serious note - if you've not read Mary's tip on ricing a lot of potatoes, remember that you can use the meat grinder attachment for the KA (and I'm assuming a manual meat grinder too) to rice a lot of potatoes quickly. That tip rocks...as does Mary.

But, one word of warning, don't crank it up too high ..... that grinder can fire quite hot potato a fair ways. BTW, forgetting the dog ... priceless )

That sounds like just the thing for me.

Okay, definitely no using the meat grinder to shoot hot potatoes when you're naked. That's just common taters... uh, I mean sense, people!

Warm potatoes are kind of nice though and cold ones can be plain invigorating.

Trinket, I mash the potatoes with cream & butter ready to serve.
I put the cream & butter on the bottom of the crockpog just to be sure they don't dry out. Don't know if it's necessary, I do it it "just in case"
In any event, it's a great way to hold poatoes when you have a lot of dishes to prepare at the last minute.

I have a space-limited kitchen and was comtemplating buying a ricer...however, I already have two meat grinders (any wonder why I have limited space LOL) so my spuds will be perfect this year! I also have crockpots up the wazoo (actually they are stored in the entryway). One less thing to worry about at the last minute.
