No suggestions on the cat, sorry, but I always cook some extra salmon and then flake/chunk it into chickpeas/red pepper/parsley/evoo/lemon juice. Lunch for a couple of days!
Your dinner sounds delish!

Jean, I could find a few of the recipes doing a google search, but they have hidden the article somewhere as best as I could tell. Although, I have decided to be resilient, have dug my crockpot out of a box (must really start unpacking!), and between that, my sad little burner, a panini press, and the microwave and toaster oven, I have to admit that I'm probably pretty well set. I just have to let go of my disappointment over the great stove fail of 2011.

Your salmon chickpea salad sounds delish! I'll have to give it a try!

Good news!!! I get a replacement stove tomorrow! Some kind soul had one on hold in the warehouse, but has let me have theirs because they don't need theirs until mid-December! Fingers crossed that this one doesn't blow up!!!

Yea! By all means, let's avoid exploding appliances whilst they are still in our kitchens. Otherwise, blowing things up can be fun.
