Folks,

We're going to be a family friends' house for American Thanksgiving, so I don't get to do anything particularly creative this year. Thus I count on you to give me some vicarious gourmet inventiveness pleasure. What are y'all cooking?

We celebrated US tday today as we're off to Ottawa tomorrow for a hockey tournament. My mom made baked potaoes, roasted potatoes, twice baked potatoes, sweet potatoes with pecans, turkey, cranberry sauce, rice stuffing, green bean salad and radicchio salad. Pumpkin pie and a brownie cake I bought at Costco for dessert plus homemade vanilla icecream.

 Jean, what does your mother have against potatoes? Tell her to try them sometime - she may like them.

And this wasn't all of us. My sister has 4 kids and now we have the oldest's boyfriend, my family and my parents. Add my brother in NY and their 3 kids...the table is just too small.

and Silversage- I spit my water out at that. :-) She will go through a 50 pound bag in less than 2 months.
