NOW it's cold and raining...??? :o So last night I made a wonderful morel sauce (onion, garlic, chicken stock, s&p, butter, and heavy cream) to go with pan-seared steak - WOW! Almost wanted to light the fireplace :roll: 24th on Sunday and she's asked for a repeat... Yeah! We can do that :!: :D

That often brings spectacular sheet lightning at least when we visited my grandfather there :!:

The unpleasant thing is that it's not normally this hot in Portland, so we're staying at a place without AC.

I lived in Portland for 30 years; I couldn't have survived that long without AC (but then I'm a real wimp when it comes to hot weather).

Summer's been lovely here so far. Just enough variation to keep it interesting. Nothing too extreme. And, the snow farm pile melted finally in Boston on July 14!
