WOW! That is a whole bunch of mustard. I might have to get that book!

I can get yogurt in glass jars with plastic lids and also Nutella in a decorative water glasses. I save these for gifts, although with the Nutella eater off at college I need to eat more yogurt.

Mary,

I finally found my mustard book. Let me know if you want me to transcribe anything. It has:

  • Simple herbed mustard
  • Grainy mustard
  • Mustard with horseradish
  • Tarragon mustard
  • Lime-coriander mustard
  • German mustard
  • Hotter than hot mustard

Nance, Amy,

I'll keep them in a bit later. Brutal week coming up; I don't get home before 10pm this week until Thursday.

Tarragon Mustard #1:

1/4 cup whole yellow mustard seeds
1/4 cup preground yellow mustard powder
1/4 cup champange vinegar
1/2 cup very hot water
1 tablespoon light brown sugar
3 tablespoons minced fresh tarragon
1 clove garlic
1 teaspoon salt

Grind the yellow mustard seeds coarse to fine per your taste. Combine with the mustard powder, vinegar, and water, and blend. Put the sugar, salt, garlic and tarragon into a mortar and make into a smooth paste. Blend into the mustard mixture. Seal in a jar. Refrigerate for 2 weeks before using.
