 Post subject: fleishman's pizza yeast

Has anyone used this? It does not require rising which would be a quick way to make pizza or foccacia. :o

Kathy,

It's instant rise yeast with dough relaxers. I haven't tried it, but the folks on Chowhound think it makes a fairly tasteless crust. So likely a "speed over flavor" thing.

For my part, when I'm in a hurry, the grocery store sells premade pizza dough ...

I saw a woman in a grocery store buying that and asked her since I'd never seen it before. She said it made the dough much easier to work with, with makes sense with what Fuzzy said. The price of it (like most yeast in packets) was enough to make me not try it. I make the Lahey dough now and like Fuzzy buy it at the store if I didn't plan ahead.
