If you want a special place to go, Barbara Lynch has an informal seafood restaurant called "B & G Oyster" in the South End - she's a fantastic chef whose high-end restaurant, No. 9 Park is still considered one of the best in Boston. She opened this one a few years ago for something less formal. Not cheap, but...

I ate the Summer Shack about 4 or 5 years ago and it was very good. More of a splurge kind of place. The Mövenpick is good food for a good price. And it is Swiss.

The Marche (Movenpick) in the Prudential Center closed a few years back. That place was great when you didn't know what you wanted to eat because they had everything!
Summer Shack is fun, reminds me of an indoor clam bake. About the same price point as Legal Seafoods, oddly enough. You really don't think that going in because of the casual ambiance.

Bummer about the Marché. We went for brunch and and they did suit all tastes. I am glad the Summer Shack is still open. I think I need to get back to Boston sometime soon.

We leave this Friday morning and would love a recommendation for a restaurant in the North End for Friday nite. Anyone? Thanks Nance
