On Monday I will be getting a new right knee. I am actually looking forward to this. It is a new technique where they take a 3D scan of your knee and engineers build a knee to fit you and only you. Less bone loss, easier transition and much less invasive surgery. And the good new is that it is supose to last 30+ years. Hopefully all will go well,l and I will then go for the other one. I will have a 6 to 8 week recovery time so should have some time to play and get caught up on the BB. A new knee and a vacation....who knew! Laurie

Good luck with your surgery, Laurie. My best friend just got a new one about 6 weeks ago, and is now out of rehab. He is doing more than he has been able to do for a long time! He is still limping some, but the strength is incredible.

Please keep us posted....I have so many friends with knee replacement who could not be happier. This new technique sounds great.

I hope all goes as planned and that you're motoring around in no time! The people that I know who have done it have all said that once they healed up, they were incredibly happy they did it, so I hope the same goes for your bionic knee too!

Best of luck! I've heard it's a pain to go through, but incredibly worth it.

Good luck! I am sure you will be happy to kiss the pain goodbye. My mom just got a new shoulder and it is amazing how quickly she is recovering. Mary

Good luck and speedy recovery. Just think, how much more you'll be able to do and enjoy.

Best of luck, Laurie. At my very recent 57th class reunion, knee replacements were one of the main topics of discussion. Everyone who had had one (and there were quite a few) was very happy with the outcome. I'm sure you will be, too.
