ooh cherry ravioli! How about something old fashioned, like pudding cake, chocolate cream pie or even triple chocolate cookies served warm with ice cream, whipped cream, caramel and fudge sauces (I made this once or twice) for a chocolate thing? (as with Wino, I am not a professional pastry chef, so I could be wayyy off here). Either way, good luck! My niece went to Beloit, loved it. Nancy

Certain alumni/alumnae created funds for different foods, and it meant we always had certain (very fresh, or very expensive) items available. And you always knew what night was spaghetti night...the line to ACDC (all campus dining center) went out the door for about 50 yards. Amy

For my university, the lines began early when they served the Hot Shoppes signature oven baked ham sandwich. Those were so good. Our menu was pretty much what you'd find at their restaurants in the area, including the pies and sundaes. Huge difference from before the protests when the food was truly inedible. Luckily in DC there are a lot of good places to eat if you could afford ignore what you'd already shelled out for board.

It was ok. There were a few problems, starting with the fact that the only working mixer was the 20 quart, and the paddle was broken. So I mixed things with a spoon. And the freezer wasn't chilling very well, so instead of vanilla broth I used the ginger syrup and minced the infused ginger chunks as a garnish. Everything tasted good. We had a good discussion afterwards, and they asked for my references, so I may just get the position.
