Amy,

No, really. There's this brand of tortilla chips here which we call "corn chip crack" which we generally avoid buying because they won't even last through putting away the groceries. They are simply the best corn chips in a bag, ever. "Have'a Corn Chips".

Belive it or not, you can buy them on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Havea-Chips-Regul ... B000LKZ0R2 (I wouldn't recommend it though, they'd probably be stale.)

Back to the title of the thread ... one of the reasons FSTG chips are good is something which CI pointed out a while back ... the bags are opaque, UV-proof foil bags. This keeps the oil in the chips from going rancid and makes them stay fresh and crisp in the bag for longer.

They also do cool flavors. I recommend the lime, and the multigrain is pretty good for a "let's pretend to be healthful" chip. The chocolate ... wasn't so good, though.

I'd love to see FTSG get into jarred salsa. Ever since TJ's salsa started going downhill in quality, I've been looking for a new one.

So this thread got me hankerin for some of these chips. I found out that the Costcos here in Michigan dropped this line due to lack of sales. That's OK, because I'm not a member of Costco and the nearest one is 75 miles away. I did call the Kroger on my side of town and they actually had some in stock and they were on sale for $2.00 a bag. They had 2 bags of the Multigrain which I grabbed. I also bought a bag of the Olive and Sweet Potato. I ate the Olive chips last night. They were good, but I won't go out of my way to buy them again. I have yet to try the Sweet Potato chips.
Last fall I discovered Corn Chips with Flax Seeds at a Bulk Food store. They were very good, but a little salty.

If anybody wants a coupon good for $1.00 off when you buy two bags of these chips, PM me your e-mail address and I will send you a PDF file of the coupon. Krogers has these chips and they double the coupon.

Kroger has these chips on Sale this week 2 for $5.00. I printed off about 15 of these coupons and took them to Kroger on Monday and put them on the shelf with these chips. I went back yesterday and all the coupons were gone. I don't know if people used them or if Kroger took them off the shelf. I did save a couple for myself to be used before the end of the sale.

I'm beginning to see a trend here, MiGirl. Are you having tomato withdrawal?

I found these chips at Merchandise Outlet today for $1.29 a bag. I made some feta dip for a potluck and was going to make pita chips, not now. I think these will be great with the dip. I already know I'll wish I had bought more than 2 bags.

Finally saw these chips on the store shelves here...they are VERY tasty. We got the Cheddar and Multigrain. I did not need another addicting snack to munch on, but yum. Todd, if you see any more coupons, let me know!
