Thanks JesBelle,

I have the CI slow cooker cookbook too, so will put those on my to-try list.

I'm feeling less negative this morning now that the mess is gone and I have 6 meals in the freezer for a rainy day. The mushroom chicken is actually quite good. The garlic chicken is ok....just not quite as good as CI. Maybe it just needs a splash of wine or vermouth on re-heat. I think it was just missing a bit of acid, and it probably didn't help that I was finishing it up late at night when I wasn't hungry. I'll be more objective when we actually eat it for dinner at some point.
