Post subject:  Thomas Keller's Bouchon bakery book
I saw this at Costco last night, unfortunately they have them shrink wrapped (understandbly, even at their bargain price of $32 it's an expensive book by Costco standards) and told DH that he should get it for me. (editted to add the "bakery" to the title, this is the new book)
Before he does...anyone use that book yet?
I was looking for the Smitten book but it wasn't there. :-(

I've cooked out of Bouchon. They were all lovely and wonderful. They were also definitely Keller recipes; not french laundry levels, but still definitely keller. If your good with his style, you'll enjoy the book.

Hmmmm, I may skip the book then. I've never made a Keller recipe, and although I like reading about complicated multi step recipes, the reality of my life and cooking style is that it's just not me.
Maybe I'll look at the library for other keller books to get a feel. thanks!

Ah, now it says bakery book, that was not the original title I think? Or I'm blind, definitely wouldn't be the first for that. Haven't cooked out of the bakery book. I'd expect he'd find a way to make it extremely detailed and with some exotic stuff, but you never know.

Paul, you are not blind. I fixed the subject after you and wino replied, as I didn't realize there was more than one Bouchon book. :oops: I took a quick look at it today again at Costco (as someone had ripped the wrap off one) and it looked intriguing, but have to do a better look next time.
