I just won this cookbook, and it looks incredible! Great sounding recipes, photos, writing - I don't know where to start! I remember Sarabeth starting out on the Upper West Side in Manhattan, but unfortunately, I never got to try any of her stuff. Now, I can bake it all myself, plus make her preserves, dessert sauces, etc.
Has anyone tried any of the recipes?

No, I haven't, but used to eat at Sarabeth's on the UWS some Sundays. Look forward to hearing your impression of the book.

When did you live in NYC? I was living on the Upper West Side from 1978-1996, with San Francisco for a few years in between.

On and off from 1984 to 2007. If not in the city some of those years, lived in Boston or in Rockland County (after I met my now husband in 97).

West Village ('80-81), then upper upper east side (east 97th between 5th and Madison) '81-'85. Now in Northern California. How's it going Meryl?

Hey Amy,
I also liked the uws better especially when I was living in NYC ;) . Loved the west village though. I'm visiting again on the first and second of September. I cannot wait. Somebody stop me before I eat 20 cannoli!

The only way I'd ever stop someone from eating 20 cannoli would be if we were in the same room and there was only 30 cannoli.
