So this cookbook is by the authors of Zahav, another Israeli cookbook, which got all kinds of awards and reviews, and is downright beautiful to look at ... and stupid hard to cook from. I didn't buy Zahav.

I did buy Israeli Soul, because it's not just Solomonov & Cook's best cookbook, it's the best Israeli cookbook I've yet seen, and possibly the best middle eastern cookbook yet. From the 5-minute Hummus (yes, really, although that estimate doesn't include cleaning the food processor), to the salads, to the Yemenite and Ashkenaz food, this book is packed full of interesting, tasty, and easy recipes. Seriously, this is the cookbook you buy and then get rid of your other Israeli/Lebanese cookbooks.

Thanks for that info, Fuzzy. Not that I need another CB, but that sounds very promising!
