I need your advice....I have been a subscriber since day one, going back to the very original magazine. My renewal is due and I am thinking of dropping the subscription. Frankly in the last few years, I haven't had a burning desire to make anything in the magazine. I have lots of their books and bound annuals and that is where I go first when I am looking for something new. Have any of you dropped your subscription and do you miss it?

Kathy dropped her sub about a year ago. Our plan was to buy the 2009 annual through Amazon but for some reason it's only available there for ~$50 and up...

Her web membership finally died but then they sent me a half price new membership offer so we're back in for $17.50.

I just have the web membership and am fine with that. My brother upgraded me for the editors choice thing (he *may* have noticed my password when I visited last year). I don't have any of the books so that is good for me.

I have the web subscriptions. I find I use more out of Cook's Country than CI. It's much easier to look things up, and keep an online cookbook with the subscriptions. Like Kathy and Pete, I was going to order the bound manuals, but I have a lot of their cookbooks, so I'm trying to save trees.

Thanks everyone...I think I will let the subscription lapse and look into the web again.
This feels very adult!

I've dropped them all and don't miss them. Every once in a while I check the magazine while I'm at the book store. If something looks good, I might buy a copy.

I still lurk the BB. Not particularly interesting these days.

I'm going to drop when my sub comes up for renewal. I don't cook much from it either these days. I think I made 3 decent recipes over the past year and the rest were "eh". I also think that BB has gone so far downhill. I am an occasional lurker but it's no longer a familiar crowd except for a very small few.

I quit it all...my last post was in Jan. I lurk occasionally...just not the same.
