I dropped the magazine a while ago, and don't miss it - it was just another thing piling up and I really wasn't using it much. I do still have an on-line subscription and will keep it. I like it, use it quite a bit, and for some reason don't seem to have the problems with the website that others do.

I have on-line subscriptions, too. I find it easier to find what I'm looking for, and I think Kathy and Pete recommended getting the annual. The only thing I don't like about on-line is that you don't get the narrative about the recipe or Chris' editorial.

To avoid becoming members of the Book-of-the-Month club we've avoided buying from CI and instead usually bought the annuals from Amazon. For some reason the 2009 edition of CI never showed up on Amazon at a reasonable price, though.
