Made these today. They were meant for a holiday potluck lunch at my office, but the baby was restless last night and I was too exhausted to get up early to make it. It's a slow cooker recipe and takes 4-5 hours, but I'm not exactly sure why slow cooking is necessary or desired. Maybe someone can explain. In any event, they were very good. DH said they are the best he's eaten. Admittedly, I've never been a huge fan of them, but I guess I never had any that were very good. They always seemed like bad cocktail food to me. We ate them for dinner with some buttered noodles. Very nice meal and not much work.
