Does anyone remember these people?

Quote:
Gandolf,

Welcome to the Cook's Bulletin board. Crystal will be along shortly to welcome you. While you are the first poster, we miss you and need help. With your mystical powers, perhaps you can solve all of our problems with one wave of your sceptor.

Eric needs some counseling on cooking veal. Some of our members just don't appreciate calf carpaccio.

Amy is having language problems and is looking for a French word for Spamalicious.

Frank has lost his way in a cartoon fantasy that has him believing that he is to be trusted with electricity. Some fear that he has run away with Sean Jean.

Lou spends his time flying the world in an effort to wipe out coriander plants with titanium dioxide and a Bosch mixer.

Crystal is going blind from peering directly into the burning rays of excessively shiny cookware.

Rhonda has lost the conflict that brings purpose to life. Are you single?

Sunny has not uttered a word since she found out that an Eskimo Pie will not melt on hot asphalt. What can she add to her ice cream to achieve this kind of perfection?

Kurt is descending into a netherworld of computer searches.

Finally, Tim desparately needs counseling. He suffers tragically from multple ply cookware personality disorder.

Thank you for considering our wishes for the new year.

Fondly,

Frodo Baggins

I am sorry to see it all fall down. I went looking for an old post where someone mentioned that Dijon-style mustard was being sold by bulk at wholesale price. I am so tempted by that. I went for two years without any Dijon at all. Tried to make my own, but with limited success. Now it is showing up more regularly, but at 10 bucks a bottle,so I indulge, but only occasionally. If I could latch onto 1 gallon or two of it, I'd be a happy camper and share it out with friends, provided we could find some way to ship it here within reason.

But all the searches I tried failed. No good using "bulk mustard" or "wholesale mustard" or "Dijon Mustard". Drat and double drat!

Tatoosh,

Search was always broken on the old board. It wouldn't search back more than 6 months.

Steve,
What's your shipping code. I will punch it into our UPS software and see how much it would cost to ship you a package that weighs upwards of 10 pounds.

Jim, it always floored me that you and Kurt can find posts that I can't, even after pages and pages of searches!

Dunno how you did that, but thank you very much! I will check them out.

talinhart: hmm, shipping code? Philippines has a shipping code? I'm in Baguio City, Benguet Philippines. Balikbayan (container ship) is the way stuff arrives here most of the time. I would have it shipped to a friend in Arizona and then he'd ship it to me balikbayan which is by box size, not weight. Well, unless you are shipping lead or something. But thank you for the offer.

Using GOOGLE and searching "cooks illustrated bulleting board dijon mustard" the "Dijon Mustard IN QUANTITY" topic is the first hit.

When I went looking, I used the board's advanced search feature. It is necessary to push the calendar back a month at a time, but that is a fairly quick process with a fast internet connection.
