All,

So every year for the end of the year, Saveur does "the Saveur 100" where the magazine has 100 "things", usually around some theme. Since it's Saveur's 20th year, this year was a kind of eclectic reflection on things which Saveur covered earlier, including blurbs from most of their most famous writers and friends. Really more bathroom reading than culinary, although there is a significant and very random recipe collection.

This month was Sunset Magazines "favorite recipes of Sunset" issue, with a lot more recipes than they usually have. Including some I want to try. You might steal a copy from your doctor's office.

I hadn't thought about Sunset for years - are they still headquartered in Menlo Park? I grew up near there and I remember their gardens were beautiful, and we had tons of their cookbooks. Glad they're still around and publishing something worth reading. Too bad I can't find them in Boston.

Lindsay,

Yes, they're still there an still have the amazing gardens. I drive past sometimes on my way to Penzey's. Someday I should visit ...
