Here's a little article about Kenji now getting a column in Cooking Light - I'm beginning to think he's going to take over the world (it's probably because I gave him a high-end blender that I won in a CI employee raffle and didn't think I could use). http://www.thedailymeal.com/serious-eats-kenji-l-pez-alt-gets-column-cooking-light?

And of course I just ended my Cooking Light subscription that I've had since 1997. Figures! But good for Kenji. And thanks for sharing Lindsay.

Yaay Kenji!

Mind you, Cooking Light seems kind of "fluffy" for him. Hopefully he can raise the tone of the magazine.

I read Cooking Light many years ago and dropped it. My wife recently subscribed to it for some kid doing a school fundraiser.

The first one showed up as a surprise to me. And, bonus, there was Kenji.

It's not a bad magazine. The recipes are pretty approachable. Most mag recipes are fun to look at, but you know you won't ever try them. The CL recipes are mainly realistic contenders.

I got a deal on CL about half a year ago, and I have found quite a few recipes in it I have used, with minor adjustments. And I just made one today - some Star Anise Snickerdoodles, which turned out very good, though I had to adjust the flour slightly.
