Did anybody else get the latest test recipe from CI?

I have been getting a lot lately. I got some killer scallops, braised peas (also v. good). I got, but haven't tried, a triple chocolate mousse cake and cassoulet which I would love to make but doubt I will have the time before I leave. Feast or famine.

I noticed I just got one, but haven't had the time to open it up and really look at it. Looks like something I would make, however.

I had done the new chocolate chip cookies last fall and thought they were great. However, I just remade them last month, before the recipe came out and thought they were not so special. I must have done something wrong this time...I was in a real hurry. I haven't looked to see if there are any changes in the magazine from what I was originally sent.

I got all of those same ones. I have not been able to try any of them. I am the promotor of an RV show and it's this weekend so have not had a minute to even give them a good look over. I may try them, but not within the time frame indicated. I am interested in the pea recipes. I'd love to try the Mouse cake, but when I glanced at the recipe I see it takes 3 cups of cream and I don't think my waistline can handle that! If I was having a dinner party I would make it, but just for us, no way.

Laurie

My cat, Sigrid, says that if you're having Mouse Cake, she'll come to your dinner party. ;)

Sorry, couldn't resist.

Tell Kitty, if I make it I'll let her know.

I thought the Cassoulet with the Duck Confit was an interesting dish. Much more so then the Basic Vinaigrette from a couple of months ago.
