This month's Saveur is all about Mexican food. They have the author of Truly Mexican, and Diane Kennedy, of course. And lots more good stuff.

Recipes include: fish stuffed with pico de gallo, thick tortillas fried with salsa, pan-fried crabs in chipotle, potato and chorizo sandwiches, pork ribs in tomatillo sauce, ancho chile soup, and more. Oddly, the one thing the issue doesn't have is a tequila or mezcal tasting article.

The headache after the tasting prevented the writing of the article. ;)

I also parted company with El Senor in 1971 but in an entirely different way... :o :(

It seemed like a good idea at the time but an early morning turboprop ride for 2 hours the next morning offered a different perspective :!:

P.S. We've since made up... :D :?

Wino,

It always seems like a good idea at the time.

So, how about a wine-tasting report?
