Does anyone know the website for the guy that is blogging about cooking CI recipes? As I recall, he had set a goal of how many he wanted to cook in a year (a la Julia and Julia) and was well on his way to documenting his results (with photos). Any help to the whereabouts of that website would be appreciated.

Best,
Gerard

I really like his blog and comments on the recipes, he's very helpful too and answers the comments.

I saw where he was doing vanilla extract so put my two cents in and he promptly replied. So another blog I'm following.

So he links to the original recipe and then says "Here's how I made it today" with a complete recipe. Is this a (minor) variation on the original (legal, AFAIK) or a reprint (dicey, good luck with Mr. Kimball on that front).

Basically, is he republishing the CI recipes in his blog?

CI gave permission last year for bloggers to post the recipes as long as they don't do it verbatim, i.e. they have to do it in their own words. Katie posted about this, I believe, in her blog.
They did this right after they closed the back door that bloggers were using to link to recipes on the CI site with no memebership.
At least that's what I remember reading. ;-)

I'm enjoying his blog. It reminds me of the fun we had on TOBB - when a bunch of people would make the same recipe (usually from that month's issue) and post results.
