The vinegar thing isn't me.
And yeah, if you're going to eat the strawberries in less than 24 hours, don't refrigerate them. However, ripe strawberries are
very perishable; if you're going to keep them for more than a day, you pretty much have to put them in the fridge, even if that hurts their texture/flavor a little. But less than mold does.
