Basically, stop eating. http://ajcn.nutrition.org/content/early/2012/11/27/ajcn.112.047142.abstract

Among the ingredients in question for their purported relation to cancer risk: veal, salt, pepper spice, flour, egg, bread, pork, butter, tomato, lemon, duck, onion, celery, carrot, parsley, mace, sherry, olive, mushroom, tripe, milk, cheese, coffee, bacon, sugar, lobster, potato, beef, lamb, mustard, nuts, wine, peas, corn, cinnamon, cayenne, orange, tea, rum, and raisin.

I say, take the risk.
Y'all have a nice day :!:

Wino,

Well, at least I can still eat rice and beans. ;-)

Where did you get the list of ingredients from? I can't access the full text.

My brother and his wife may have a subscription to get to the .pdf. My entry is actually a copy of his email to me this morning. Sorry... Any hospital library will let you read it for free or if you know an MD...

Haven't you heard about the arsenic in rice, esp. brown rice?

There is a direct correlation between living and certain death. Something must be done.

Mary,

Quote:
Scientists at John Hopkins University, having recently concluded a 6-year study of dietary cancer risks, have discovered that laboratories are the leading cause of cancer in rats.

Actually, the abstract for that study is rather damming of the studies it surveys. It seems to be saying that studies tend to claim cancer risks completely out of proportion with the statistics and solidity of the evidence.
