I would say, "Not Vegetarian". It's still an animal product from what I read even though they only used a few cells to start the initial growth.

If you are a don't-harm-animals vegetarian (assuming those cells can be harvested with very minimal harm. BTW, habitat loss for veggie growing is a leading cause of harm....), it qualifies IMO. If you are a health-vegetarian or don't-like-meat-vegetarian, then it isn't.

So if a cow dies a natural death and then gets processed for consumption, I still don't think a "don't harm animals" vegetarian could be convinced to eat the meat, but I could be wrong.

Ya definitely DON'T want to eat old cow (try chewing your boot for an hour!) :!: :o And, no, grinding it doesn't make it better  However, a test tube of meat with a pipette of vodka - would that be a bullshot :?: :!: 8-)

this made me laugh though...as the turn of the century was only 12 years ago!
