All,

The French market in Hayes Valley had frozen green fava beans for $9/kilo, so of course I bought them. I've found a couple of attractive recipes in Plenty More and Chez Panisse, but I'm looking for other ideas. And if anyone has made the "Lightly Stewed Fava Beans etc." from Plenty More ... did you like it?

I just had a fabulous mint fava bean and pea bruschetta with goat cheese, topped with slivers of radish. Was great as an appetizer, but I could have made a meal of it!

If you weren't a vegetarian, I'd recommend sautéed liver and a nice chianti.

Becky,

Not so fond of Chianti, either. ;-)
