Has anyone tried the Kirkland canned tomato products? My Costco has stopped selling other brands and now only carries Kirkland. The price is good and they are BPA free but have not been able to find any reviews.

Ditto for Trader Joe's. TIA

BTW, anyone know if there is a 2014 ATK buying guide?

There is a link for downloading the ATK 2014 Buying Guide on the "My Account" page. For most tomato products the the top two ranking go Muir Glen and Hunt's. I frequently use tomato products from Wegman's or Aldi so I have to rely my own informal taste tests.

Trader Joe's won the Serious Eats taste test for whole plum tomatoes. Personally, I've begun to rely Serious Eats taste tests largely because they include TJ's products. I've noticed a drop in quality for the Muir Glen diced tomatoes -- lots of peels and stem buttons. I'd rather pay half the price for the TJ's diced, which are pretty peely as well.

I've been buying Costco's Kirkland tomato products for a very long time now. While I haven't done a taste-test per se, I find them every bit as good taste-wise and quality-wise as those that I used to buy there.

Thank you all. I do have TJ's whole plum but have not used them yet. I guess I had a pretty good stock, because I was surprised that I could not find Muir Glen at Costco last week. Need to restock on almost everything.
