I picked up 15 quail eggs at the local cheap grocery. I figured i'd find something to do with them. So what do I do with quail eggs? |

I have never made them but see them at the store and at restaurants. They are used mostly as a cute garnish. Like a tiny fried egg on a soup, hard boiled or poached on a salad. Also had one soft boiled in its tiny shell, so cute. Oh, hard boiled halved, topped with caviar. I also saw pickled ones at the store with different flavors, curry, and saffron come to mind. Mary |

I made several dozen mini scotch eggs with quail eggs for a party two years ago. They were a big hit. --Lisa |

I see them all the time in the Asian markets, and I have seen them in many braised recipes, in which they are added toward the end, after boiling in water and peeling. One time I made some tea eggs, with duck, chicken, and quail eggs, and all were good, but the duck eggs were best |

Toss two of them, raw, on hot udon noodles with minced green onion and grated ginger. Instant Japanese meal. |

My favorite Spanish Tapa was iberico ham on a crostini topped with a poached quail egg. I still dream of this after our trip to Spain. |
