My Costco now has a Truffle Oil. I know there is a controversy about whether it adds flavor or not, but I love it on Fingerling potatoes. So has anyone tried it?

I usually use Penzeys' vanilla but I am almost out and don't need to place an order. Has anyone tried Costco vanilla? How does it compare to Penzeys. KAF now has their own brand vanilla so if Costco is not good, I was thinking of getting that with the $3.00 shipping for the next couple of days. Any thoughts on it? Thanks.

I've not tried the penzey's vanilla but the Costco one is excellent. And if you hate it you can return.

I used to buy the Costco vanilla and was always happy with it. But Alina, knowing how much you enjoy baking, I'm sure you'd really enjoy making your own vanilla. I've been doing it for several years and get a lot of satisfaction out of using it!

Thanks Emilie, I want to try doing it, but have not started and I need some now. Hopefully, now that DH's lost vision issue has been resolved (a fluke of nature he lost it) I'll be home to try fun things again. I think I have enough beans to get a jar started. I'll get some Costo in the meantime.
