My Swiss cooking mag just did an article about asparagus but the only really funky thing was a white asparagus creme brulee because there are just not enough sweet asparagus dishes out there. If you have not tried Cooking Light's roasted asparagus with browned balsamic butter you really should though.

All,

Thanks for ideas.

I love them roasted and then dragged through really good balsamic (courtesy of Ruth Reichl)
And in frittatas and quiche.
Or grilled.

99 cents a pound! That sounds amazing. And straw thin, not sure I've even seen that. It would be nice to see some photos of this pretty sounding bargain.

Is it tender?

You are very welcome, you get a ton of flavor from very 3 ingredients. I will be making it this weekend.

Amy - Built that puppy tonight and combined it with Kalamata bread toasted, buttered and then covered with Parmigianno Reggiano, plum tomatoes, and fresh basil broiled until bubbling combined with a great merlot - WOW!
