Announcing: Liberation from peanut butter stirring!!!!!! :D :D :D

I tried Jessbelle's mixer method, it sounded so intriguing. So I got my spare jar of CC peanut butter (even though I just stirred one yesterday) and did just as she said, only I used an old stand mixer (because I blew out two nice hand helds trying to cream butter and sugar).

VOILA. Just plunge in and start on low. It is so easy. It even worked for this overly full Kirkland brand. Honestly I thought I would have peanut butter and oil all over the kitchen but it did not overflow. Miraculous.

Best tip ever. Well, maybe equal footing with the saving of tomato paste in a ziplock to the freezer.

THANKYOU.

Anyone wanting a good time in the kitchen, give this a try, it is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G.

Caps out.

Hey Tim, a tip like this is serious business for us heater-uppers and jar-openers.

I'm going to try this on my next jar of kirklands. I noticed last year that in the US the pb comes in 2 jars, here we get 1 humungous jar. I've done the spoonula dance but it's really hard to get such a large jar completely stirred. to the point that I've not bought pb in 2 months and we're out.
p.s. I do add kosher salt to my pb on toast....

Tim -- May I exchange my blah blah blah for a yada yada yada? I will, of course, be happy to pay any extra shipping and handling.

ezb -- You are so very very welcome. ;)

All,

FWIW, our grocer has one of those peanut-grinding machines, so I get only "fresh" peanut butter. This is in general better ... no added oil ... except that after a few days in the fridge it turns hard and crumbly and needs to be microwaved to make it gooey again.

FWIW, Smuckers Natural PB is labeled as peanuts with a small amount of added salt, without evidence of added oil. I think it's ground finer than what you get in a store, which helps with the texture from the fridge.

I actually put the entire contents in a ziploc square container stir it up really well and keep it in the fridge. Seems to work like a charm.
