Pete just told me he bought 2 steel shelves from Sam's for the basement for my bday. I don't know if I should cry or laugh :o

If we go to tape, we'll see that (a) she suggested the shelves as a BDay present, and (b) she was actually quite thrilled to learn that I bought them...

...and maybe someone wants her to think that's all she's getting... ;)

Happy Birthday! At least you didn't get socks. ;)

My husband, poor dear, has no idea what to get me for my birthday. In the past, I have put things on an Amazon wish list, left open catalog pages, circled items on catalog pages, and he never got the things I wanted anyway. So now I make him really squirm. I'll probably get some liquor.

I got a ceiling lamp for our office for Christmas to replace the one that exploded because me husband put too much wattage into it. I am still pouting. He did do better for my birthday, I got a gorgeous vase w 13 long stemmed roses and an extension of a flower abo that I got for my anniversary last year (a flower of the month club). I was very touched but am still reserving my right to pout about the lamp.

Absolutely zero complaints here. I got a Sous Vide circulator for Christmas. I don't remember what he gave me last birthday, but a couple of birthdays ago he walked into my favorite jewelers and said to Susan (a friend of ours), "I have to idea what to get Amy for her birthday." Susan said, "sit down, and get out your credit card." He bought me something I had been drooling over for almost a year...custom-made rose gold, peridot (my birthday stone) chandelier earrings.

Happy birthday Kathy!!!!

I could either hate Amy or send my husband out to CO for some rehab. I pick the latter as I am really hoping to get invited for some sous vide dinner one day (and maybe borrow those earrings...).

PS AND Happy Birthday Kathy!!!

I vote you come to Colorado, after all, Telluride has the most "Alps-like" terrain in North America. You'd feel right at home!
