I don't usually make resolutions, but I did this year. Mine is to "Not Hibernate this Winter".

This winter in Minnesota it is really difficult not to hibernate! I don't know if you have been having as much crappy weather in MI, but my resolution should be "move to a warmer climate." :D

I resolved many years ago not to make any more NY resolutions, but there are some things I'd like to do food-wise going forward. I'd like to get better at mise en place so it doesn't look like a tornado tore through my kitchen every time I cook. Like Amy, I'd also like to expand my repetoire with more Indian cooking (b/c my husband loves it), and more Asian dishes as well. And this is the year I resolve to win the lottery!

I also resolved long ago not to make any more resolutions regarding food or cookbooks( ;) ), though I sort of made one food related this year: not to grow way more of anything than I need, since I hate to waste anything (I never really waste stuff, as there is always somebody to give it to!). Peppers and tomatoes are an exception, as I always have to grow more than I need, just in case something (maybe new) doesn't produce, but other things I have to start out light with. Of course, it's not that bad becoming a near vegetarian with fresh things like that.

Darcie -- I'm great at mise en place. When I'm done cooking, it looks like a tornado went through my kitchen and got out 3 dozen small bowls while it was there.

KSS, Wino,

A small piece of paper with which you prevent your utility providers from taking money out of your account whenever they feel like it. ;)

I've worked on too many electronic payment systems to trust any of them ...

Amy, Darcie,

Sounds like it's time for me to start "Fuzzy's Indian Food Corner" again.

(and I have an inexpensive cleaning person. Mind you, it helps that they only have to clean 700sqft.)

Don't say that! I have almost everything paid by e-check or debit. None of them are automatic payments, tho...I have to authorize each one. Does that make it any better? No, just don't tell me. Knock on wood, I've never had a problem. Once I had an unauthorized credit to my account - I reported it to the bank and they couldn't figure it out so I got to keep the money.
